About Me

About Me

My name is Cristian Cabrera and I graduated in May 2022 from the University of Utah, Entertainment Arts and Engineering (EAE) Program. My major is Bachelor of Science in Games. I am currently looking for work as either a 3D Prop Artist or Environmental Artist. My main goal is to create stories through media like video games, movies, and shows, but also to create video games that are entertaining, accessible, and inspire a diverse range of players.

Growing up, I played more than my fair share of games;  it was not only my main source of entertainment but also a way to find a close niche of friends. In elementary school, I made friends by talking about a game that I found in the $5 bin at the local pawn shop and how I got away with playing Mortal Combat without my parents knowing. If I wasn’t talking about video games, I was busy with my small group of friends making recess games that we would be playing for a few weeks straight. The most memorable game we created was 4 square soccer, with the same basic rules as 4 square, but we could only use our feet to pass the ball to one another. In the later years with online gaming becoming more common, I was able to make even more friends with Xbox Live and playing Call of Duty: Black Ops with random people all over the world. Till this day some of the closest friends I have were made through gaming. I want to pursue a career that will give me the opportunity to deliver this same experience to the future generation.

When I am not busy on Apex, or Valorant I surprisingly like to be outdoors camping and fishing. Living in Utah my whole life, mountains and lakes have always been only a short drive away. Over the past couple of years, I have also been getting into comic books and appreciating the art along with the stories. That is a little bit about myself and some of my interests, contact information can be found below.
